BELLEVUE, Iowa - Eldred E. Budde, 73, of 20251 429th Ave., Bellevue, died Monday morning, Dec. 20, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen L. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, where there will be a scripture service at 6 p.m.

Mr. Budde farmed south of Bellevue and enjoyed woodworking.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1926, in Springbrook, son of Leo F. and Bertha (Hoff) Budde. He married Algean Gibbs on July 8, 1952, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, La Motte.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, the Bellevue Knights of Columbus Council 1354 and the Jackson County Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his wife, Algean; six daughters, Joan (Rick) Klemme, Sally Michels, Lori (Gary) Michels and Kate (Kevin) Medinger, all of Bellevue, Beth (Jeff) Bodenholfer, of Maquoketa, and Amy Budde, of Bellevue; two sons, Mike Budde, of Elk Grove, Ill., and Dennis (Linda) Budde, of Preston; and 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Genevieve Budde; and three brothers and two sisters.
