March 2, 1920Mrs. Florence Hood Dies.
Florence Hood passed away Feb. 28, 1920, at the home of her uncle and aunt, Levi and Catherine Edwards in Maquoketa, Iowa.
She was the daughter of Abram and Jane Tracy and was born in Jackson county, Iowa, Feb. 22, 1892. Her mother passed away Sept. 2, 1892, when Mrs. Hood was 6 months, 11 days old. Her uncle, Levi Edwards, took charge of her with whom she made her home until April 9, 1913, when she united in marriage to Lemuel D. Hood at Maquoketa. To this union were born three heirs, Herold D., Dillon G., and Ruth M.
The husband and father preceded her in death, February 21, 1920.
Besides the children she leaves to mourn her demise, one sister, Mrs. James Rannals of Fulton, Iowa, one brother, Sanford of South Dakota, her father in New York, one uncle Basil Tracy of Iron Hills, and three aunts, Mrs. Levi Edwards, Mrs. Dora Cooley of Moline and Mrs. John Martin of South Dakota.
The funeral was held from the Buchner chapel yesterday at 2 p.m., Rev. Kidder officiating.
