December 27, 1946Max Rosenberg, 57, Dies Suddenly at Home in Maquoketa.
Max Rosenberg, 57, prominent Maquoketa grocer, died suddenly Monday evening at his home here. Death followed a cerebral hemorrhage.
Funeral service was set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Carson Balster funeral home with burial in Davenport.
A resident of Maquoketa for the past 27 years, Mr. Rosenberg was born in Poland and came to the United States at the age of seventeen.
Surviving besides the widow are four children, Mrs. Ralph Moskowitz and Bernhardt Rosenberg of Maquoketa, Herbert Rosenberg of Des Moines, and Gertrude, a student at Grinnell college.
He is also survived by four brothers, Herman of Los Angeles, Calif.; Gus of St. Louis, Mo.; Albert of Des Moines, and Isodore of Lonaconing, Md.
