The funeral for Elroy Taylor, 74, Grand Mound, formerly of Maquoketa, will be at 1:30 pm Friday, in Carson Funeral Home, Maquoketa. He died Wednesday in DeWitt Community Hospital.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 today.
He was born September 11, 1905, in Maquoketa to John and Mabel Beaver Taylor. He married Meta Thiede January 1, 1928, in Maquoketa. He was a longtime Clinton Engine Corp. employee and had retired from Bendix Corp, in Davenport.
Survivors include two brothers, John of Maquoketa and Floyd of Orlando, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a son.
