Alivn G. Edwards, 69, of 1705 11th Ave., Apt. No. 2, Moline, was dead on arrival this morning at Lutheran Hospital. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.
Services will be a 1:30 p.m., Friday in Trimble Funeral Home, with Rev. William S. Mellish of First Congregational Church, officiating. The body will be cremated. Friends my call from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Edwards was born in Jackson County, Iowa. He married Mrs. Frances Beane, Feb. 27, 1958 in Clinton, Iowa.
He had been employed as an automobile salesman in the area and was retired.
Survivors are the widow, a daugher Mrs. Robert E. Gippert of Moline; three grandchildren; a stepson, Dr. Stanley Beane of Davenport, a step-grandchild; and a step-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Green of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Russell Steele of Rockford.
