Funeral Services for Mrs. Riley Edwards, 78, of 709 22nd St., Rock Island, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Knox Larson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maquoketa Cemetery. She died at 2:30 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Hospital.
The former Leaphy Palmer was born May 24, 1879, in Maquoketa. She came to Rock Island 36 years ago. She married Riley Edwards, March 30, 1898. She was a member of the Maquoketa Congregational Church.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. W. B. Crossan, of Rock Island; a son, King Edwards of Rock Island; two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren.
