Jessie May Manning was born in Chamong County, New York, in 1876 at the age of seven years she moved to Iowa with her parents where she has since resided. In 1903 she was united in marriage to John D. Welch of Maquoketa. To this union was born three children, one boy and two girls.
Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn, her father, four brothers and one sister, all of Maquoketa. Besides a large circle of friends.
