Died – We learn with sadness of the death in California, of John Matthews, who was for so long a time one of Maquoketa’s oldest and most respected and honored citizens. After death of his wife, Mr. Matthews went to California to live with a daughter and passed away in the 94th year of his age. At this writing particulars are lacking.
