His early life was spent in the east, but 54 years ago he journeyed west, settling in Jackson county which has since been his home. To know Jas. Taylor was to be his friend. His was a jovial, kind hearted disposition which won for him the respect and high esteem of his hosts of acquaintances. He was an obliging neighbor always ready to aid and assist a friend, honest and upright in all his business dealings, and a kind and indulgent husband and father. His death will be mourned by his large circle of acquaintances and their sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
