Eugene Cain Dead

Word was received here yesterday advising relatives and friends that Eugene Cain, formerly a resident of this city and well known here, had passed away at Oklahoma City, his present home. Mr. Cain died, we understand, while undergoing an operation for hernia with which he had been troubled for some time. Since his residence in the south he had been employed by the express company at Oklahoma City, and with his wife, formerly Miss Mattie Ripple, made frequent visits here, and his jovial smile was always given a most hearty welcome to our city where many friends are grieved to learn of his unexpected and untimely death. No further details were given in the message.
