Obituary.

Thomas Arthur Ross died in Mitchel, Ind., Sunday, April 27, 1890. He was born and raised near Canton, Iowa. Here he passed his school days and formed all the acquaintances of youth. And while away from home getting ready for his work as telegraph operator, sickness and death overtook him. He was born May 27, 1870 – thus only in youth time yet. The remains were brought to Iowa and the funeral services were held at his grandfather’s, May 1, Rev. J. R. A. Hanner, of Monmouth, preaching the sermon, and the remains were laid to rest in the Hickory Grove cemetery.
