Obituary.

On the afternoon of May 1, 1890, Mrs. Betsy Standish died at her home in Monmouth, Iowa. She was one of the old settlers of this part of the country. Some years ago she was left alone in this world and then built for herself a little home by the side of the house of Jake Ralsten, where she has since lived. On May 2, the funeral services were held in the M. E. Church and the remains laid to rest in the Monmouth cemetery.
