Funeral Service Held Wednesday For Mary Clark

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary E. Clark, 83, who died Monday following a two week illiness, was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Buchner funeral home with Rev. H.D. Green in charge. Interment was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mary E. Thompkins was born Feb. 12, 1861, at Millrock, Iowa, daughter of Thomas and Amanda Tompkins. She married Eugene Clark Oct. 4, 1892 in Maquoketa. They lived in this vicinity all except five years which they lived at Council Bluffs. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge.

She is survivied by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Earles, of Maquoketa, and seven grandchildren, one brother, Wildey Thompkins of California.
