Kenneth McPherson

Funeral services for Kenneth McPherson, 60 of Maquoketa, will be Thursday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Carson Funeral Home. The Reverend Harold Kumpf of the First Lutheran Church of Maquoketa will officiate at the services and burial will be in Sutton Cemetery.

McPherson died Monday, Jan. 13, at his home in Maquoketa. Dr. J. A. Broman, county medical examiner, ruled his death as a suicide.

He was born July 5, 1915 in Jackson County to Harrison and Virginia Owen McPherson. He married Hazel Manning. In 1965 he married Daisy Clark, who survives him.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Esther) Taylor and Mrs. John (Mona) Eastman, both of Maquoketa; two sons, Paul and Gary, both of Maquoketa; nine stepchildren; two brothers, Donald, Maquoketa, and Dean, Monmouth; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Werden, Fayette; ten grandchildren and 30 step-grandchildren.
