Carroll Rockwell

Funeral services for Carroll Rockwell, 50, rural Onslow farmer, were held Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. at the Carson Funeral Home, Maquoketa. The Reverend Von Elbert of the Maquoketa First Baptist Church officiated and burial was in the Sutton Cemetery.

Rockwell died Sunday evening, Feb.23, at his home.

He was born Oct. 9, 1924 in Fulton to Clifford and Sabina Rommert Rockwell. On June 4, 1947 he married Ethel Prusia at Wyoming who survives him. During his life he served in World War Two.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William (Shirley) Schroeder, Maquoketa, and Kathy Ann, at home; a brother, Gerald of Maquoketa; three sisters, Mrs. Alva (Jeanette) Husmann and Mrs. Louie (Vesta) Moenk, both of Wyoming, and Mrs. Lloyd (Ellen) Newmarch, DeWitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
