Bernice L. Campbell

Funeral services for Bernice L. Campbell, 85 of Maquoketa, will be today, Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at the Haylock-O’Hara Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell died Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Jackson County Public Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1889 in Jackson County to William Harrison and Louise Ringlep Livingston. She married Bruce L. Tubbs who is deceased and later Wiley Campbell who is also deceased.

Survivors include four sons, Earl Tubbs, Glenwood; Glen Tubbs, Maquoketa; Louis Tubbs, San Diego; Charles Tubbs, Oxnard, Calif.; four step daughters, Mrs. Earl (Leona) Mayberry, Mrs. Florence Reichling, Mrs. Mereta Ripple, Mrs. Don (Bertha) Schwenker, all of Maquoketa; two step sons, Leonard and Lawrence, both of Maquoketa; four sisters, Mrs. Leo (Hazel) Lotz, Edna, Kans.; Mrs. Roy (EmmaJean) Stine, Edna Ruth Livingston, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Wayne (Lucille) Houston, Princeville, Ore.; one brother, Charles Livingston, Mountain Home, Ark.; six grandchildren and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one step son.
