LESTER E. CAMPBELL
The funeral for Lester E. Campbell Sr., 75 of 217 Olive St., Maquoketa,will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Haylock, O'Hara and Kedley Funeral Home, Maquoketa, with the Elder Bell of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints officiating. Mr. Campbell died Friday(04-22-1983) in Mercy Health Center, Dubuque.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Sutton Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.
Pallbearers will be Alan, William and John Campbell, Wayne Rockwell, Jamie Sutton and David Morehead.
Mr. Campbell was born July 16, 1907 in rural Maquoketa to Clarence and Lydia Heide Campbell. He married Rita Sutton, Aug. 10, 1927 in Maquoketa. He farmed in Maquoketa area until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lester E. Campbell Jr., Maquoketa; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Mike (Lola) Knackstedt, Maquoketa.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
