James Earnest Carr
The funearl was at 1:30 p.m. today in the Carson Funeral Home, Maquoketa, for James Ernest Carr, 44, of Monmouth who died Friday in University Hospitals, Iowa City.

The Rev. Kim Engleking of the Monmouth United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery near Emeline.

Mr. Carr was born July 26, 1939 in Jones County, the son of Harold and Mary Ralston Carr. He married Carol Hute Jan. 31, 1959 in Maquoketa.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Connie Jo Walton of Cuba City, Wis., and Lee Ann Carr of Baldwin; three sons, Jimmy of Anamosa, David of Maquoketa and Ricky of Freidburg, West Germany; five grandcildren; his mother, Mary Carr of Monmouth; eight sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Jane) Miller, Mrs. Richard (Lois) Hanson, Mrs. Cathy Bickford and Dixie Carr, all of Monmouth, Mrs. David (Marilee) Howell of Canton. Mrs. James (Karen) Wenthe of Stockton, Ill., Mrs. James (Sharon) Faulks of Onslow and Carla Carr of Andrew; seven brothers, Harold and Douglas both of Maquoketa, Dale and Thomas, both of Monmouth, Ronald of Hampton, Ill., Edward of Hawaii and Allan of Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
