Funeral Rites Held Here Saturday For Mrs. Clara Odgers

Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. John Odgers, 55, who died at her home here on Thursday afternoon following a brief illness. Service was held from Harrison funeral home with the Rev. Henry Mueller, pastor of the First Lutheran church, officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery. Pall bearers were John Blessing, Howard Taylor, Harry Fischer, John Leahy, Darrell Reichling and William Coverdale.

Clara Greve, daughter of Hans and Catherine Greve, was born in Clinton on August 22, 1887. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On June 25, 1919 she was married to John Odgers and they spent their entire married life in this city, where for the past 11 years she has been employed as bookkeeper for the Barker Coal & Oil Co.

Surviving besides the husband are four sisters, Mrs. John O’Brien, Mrs. Pauline Storms, Mrs. George Traer and Mrs. Henry Meyers, all of Clinton, and one brother, John E. Greve, also of Clinton.
