Miss Helen Loosbrock, LaMotte Resident, Dies in Dubuque Hospital

LAMOTTE – Another cloud of sorrow enveloped our city Friday afternoon when it became known that Miss Helen Loosbrock had passed away at 2:45 p.m. at Mercy hospital in Dubuque, death followed a heart attack. Three weeks ago she fell and broke her hip, but seemingly was getting along fairly well when she was seized with an attack in the forenoon, but another followed and due to her weak heart and other weaknesses, she failed to rally and passed peacefully away.

Miss Loosbrock was born in Dyersville, Feb. 22, 1871, the only daughter of Francis and Johanna Loosbrock. She resided in the Dyersville community until August 2, 1926 when she accompanied her brother, Rev. H. J. Loosbrock to LaMotte, he being pastor of Holy Rosary church. She has faithfully performed the duties of housekeeper for the past 40 years.
