On Wednesday, March 20, at his home in Britton, Okla., James Pinkerton, a former resident of Zwingle and Maquoketa, passed away after an illness of several months. He was married to Miss Harriet Simpson of Zwingle, to which union two children were born, Roy of Britton, Okla., and Mrs. Ada Cockran of Spokane, Wash. After the death of his first wife he was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Atherton, a sister of Mrs. Addie Walker of this city. This union was blest with one son, Clarence, who with the wife survives. The funeral was held at Britton Sunday. Mrs. Walker was at the bedside of her brother-in-law during his last illness and at his death.
