Maquoketa Excelsior, April 12, 1890

On Wednesday April 2, 1890, Julia, wife of Arthur Myatt, aged 34 years.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at St. Luke’s Church, at 3 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Couffer. Mrs. Myatt was born January 18, 1856, in Jackson County, Iowa, and was married to Mr. Myatt on the 15th day of November, 1874, and came to this city from Maquoketa, Iowa, five years ago, they having been in David City just five years and one day at the time of Mrs. Myatt’s death.

Deceased became a member of the M. E. Church of this city about two years ago, and during her few years’ residence in David City, has made many warm friends, who to-day mingle their tears with those of the bereaved husband over the loss of a true, devoted Christian mother, wife and friend. Besides the sorrowing husband, she leaves a son and a baby daughter. –David City Tribune.
