Wm. Perry, Jr., son of Wm. Perry, Sr., formerly of this vicinity, was shot and killed a few days ago by a man named Smith, near Mt. Auburn, this state. Both of the men were married and Perry was accused of alienating the affections of Smith’s wife. It is reported that Wm. Perry, the father, has sworn to avenge the death of his son, and unless he has changed considerably since he left here, the members of this particular Smith family had better keep their eyes open when he is around.
