BALDWIN WOMAN DIES

Anna Statia Ketchum, was born April 14, 1848, at Cairo, Ill., and died at the home of her son Frank, in Baldwin on Nov. 9th, 1920, at 1:30 a.m.

Anna Statia Martin was married to John J. Ketchum on April 8th, 1866. To this union were born ten children, the following of which are living: Mrs. Clara Potter of Baldwin, Mrs. Anna Smithson of Green Island, Frank, of Baldwin, Mrs. Martha Pleiser of Maquoketa, Mrs. Rosa Ward of Pendleton, Oreon, Oscar of Anamosa, George of Green Island, Fred of Baldwin.

There are also three step children, Mrs. Sarah McCarty of Monmouth, John Ketchum of Monmouth, and Mrs. Margaret Winans of Monticello.

Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1895.

The funeral was held at the Catholic church in Baldwin on Nov. 11, at 9 a.m., Father Clancy saying low mass. Interment made in the Pence cemetery.
