DIED-
The sad intelligence was received here of the untimely death of Miss Julia Dunham, at Clinton, Tuesday morning last. The remains were received here last night and the funeral occurred at 2 o’clock yesterday. The Clinton Herald of Tuesday contains the following concerning her death: “Miss Julia Dunham, an esteemed lady residing at 406 Sixth avenue died after an illness of nine days, with pneumonia and malarial fever, aged about 28 years. Deceased was a medical student with Mrs. Clara Yeomans, and when the latter went to Colorado took charge of her business here to a large extent. She had lived here for about a year and was a member of the Baptist church. He mother and two sisters were with her at the last, being summoned from Maquoketa, where they reside. Brief funeral services at the house this afternoon, conducted by Revs. C. C. Smith and J. A. Ward and the remains will be taken by the afternoon train to Maquoketa for burial, with services there at 2 o’clock Wednesday.”
