T. B. Maltas Dies Christmas at Delmar

Delmar – (Special) – Friends here were very much shocked and grieved to learn early Christmas morning of the death of T. B. Maltas. He was in his usual health and went out Sunday evening to assist his son, Donald, to get their car in the garage. When he did not return the son came to look for him and discovered his father lying dead in the yard.

The deceased was born February 20, 1869, on the old Maltas farm where he has always lived. On November 12, 1890, he was married to Miss Jennie Smith of this city. Six children were born to this union: Mrs. Guy Ruggeberg, Mrs. Lee Robinson and Guy, all of Welton; Kenneth of Decatur, Mrs. Robert Seyfert of this city and Donald at home. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Seventh Day church at Welton. Rev. Kneer of Delmar officiated and burial in the old Welton cemetery. Mr. Maltas was a kind father and the sympathy of this community is extended to the wife and children who are so berefted.
