Jackson Sentinel, December 29, 1933.

William McGinn, 75, for many years employed as clerk in the Decker hotel in this city, died suddenly Friday, while waiting in the office of Dr. J. W. Jordan, where he had gone for medical attention.

Mr. McGinn was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christy McGinn and was born on a farm near Charlotte. He was well known in this city and a familiar figure on our streets, for many years while employed at the hotel, but for some time he has been making his home with his stepmother. Mrs. Ann McGinn at Delmar. He is survived by his stepmother, a daughter, Clara McGinn of Chicago, a step-daughter, Vivian Hanrahan of Clinton; three sisters, Sister Mary Renolds of Des Moines, Miss Mary McGinn and Mrs. Margaret Fitzsimmons of Sioux Falls, S. D.

Funeral service were held at St. Patrick’s church in Delmar at 9:00 o’clock Tuesday morning, the Rev. Cullinan celebrated the requiem mass. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception cemetery at Petersville.
