Funeral Rites Will Be Held Wednesday for Mrs. Isaac Sutton

Mrs. Isaac Sutton, 73, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Turner, at 10:15 a.m. Monday following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at the Carson-Balster funeral home on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Harry D. Green officiating. Six grandchildren of the deceased will be pall bearers. Interment will be made in the East Iron Hill cemetery.

Ferby Jane Streets was born near Iron Hill, Iowa, on May 26, 1867, the eldest child of Thomas and Jane Webb Streets. On April 28, 1891 she was united in marriage to Isaac Sutton. Had she lived until April 28, they would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. To this union five children were born. Mrs. Ethel Turner of Maquoketa; Delbert and George Sutton of Davenport; also two boys, Iral and Orville, who passed away at the age of one year; and a niece, Mrs. Owen Lindemier, whom she tenderly reared from the age of nine years.

Mrs. Sutton was affiliated with the Methodist church 25 years ago and has always been a true Christian.

In the passing of Mrs. Sutton, one of our noblest women has been called to the reward she had so well earned, leaving to her loved ones a heritage equaled by few people who mourn the passing of relatives. During the past several years she has been tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Turner, and bore her suffering so patiently through all her illness.

Left to mourn her loss besides the husband and children, are four sisters, Mrs. Weltha Saunders, Mrs. Eunice Gilmore, Mrs. Laura Hute and Mrs. Cora Nissen; and four brothers, John, Samuel, Peaslee and Vernon Streets, all living in the Maquoketa vicinity.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Tolbert, Chauncey and Alonzo Streets.
