ROBERTS – At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thos. Evans, on West Platt street, at midnight August 5, Mrs. Nancy A. Roberts passed peacefully away aged 88 years 1 month and 22 days. Nancy A. Hawkins was born in Herkimer county, N. Y., June 13, 1809, and was married to George Roberts June 20, 1830. In 1865 they moved west, and settled in this city. In 1889 Mr. Roberts died, since which time she has made her home with her daughter Mrs. Evans. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Roberts – three daughters and one son. The funeral was held at her late home Sunday afternoon, Rev. H. Clark officiating, and the remains laid beside her husband in Mt. Hope cemetery.
