BAGLEY – Miss Adella Fields was born in Crawford county, Pa., Feb. 12, 1844, and died at her home near Buckhorn August 5, 1897, aged 53 years 5 months and 24 days. June 22, 1864, she was married to Mr. Geo W. Bagley, which happy union was blessed with seven children, five daughters and two sons, all of whom survive their mother but one daughter, who died March 26, 1882. They came to Iowa in March, 1876, and located near Buckhorn, in which vicinity she lived until her death. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Mrs. Walter Miller, Mrs. Thomas Coleman, John, Maretta and Earl, the last three living at home and living near Buckhorn. She was a faithful and affectionate wife, a fond and loving mother. All who knew her loved her and spoke her praises. She was sorely afflicted with rheumatism during the latter portion of her life, and during the last four years was confined to her chair or bed. Through all her intense pain and suffering she was a patient sufferer until the Master called her home. Funeral services at the Buckhorn Reformed church Saturday at 11 a.m. and interment in the cemetery by the church, Rev. D. F. Boomershine officiating.
