DIED.

John Barkley, aged 58 years died suddenly from apoplexy on day last. While working in a field south of the fair grounds sowing grass seed he was stricken down. He was discovered by Joseph Priaulx, who, calling a neighbor Joe Kiser, secured a conveyance and took him to his home on Prospect street where he expired without regaining consciousness. Funeral occurs today at 2 p.m. Rev. Chandler conducting the services, interment in Mt. Hope cemetery. Deceased leaves a wife, a son Howard aged 16, and a daughter, Bess aged 14, to mourn the death of an industrious, kind and loving father.
