W. C. Adams, an old and respected citizen, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. F. King, in this city, April 18th, 1891, aged 78 years. Services were held at the residence Monday afternoon and the remains taken to Mt. Hope cemetery for burial, Rev. T. S. Oadams officiating. The deceased was born in Jefferson county, N. Y., and after the death of his wife in 1864 came to Maquoketa with his children and has resided here ever since. He was a quiet, good man, beloved by his children and esteemed by his neighbors.
