MOORE – Miss Margaret Moore passed away at her home near Sylva, Friday morning, March 17, after a short illness of pneumonia. Although in poor health for the past year, her death was a severe shock to her many friends. She was a devout Catholic and died fortified by the last rites of the church. She is survived by her father, Thomas Moore, and three sisters, Mary, Rose and Nellie, her mother, having preceded her to the grave several years ago. The funeral which was one of the largest ever held in this vicinity, was taken from her late home to Sylva, where services were conduced by Rev. Father Garland, who spoke words of comfort to the bereaved family in their hour of sorrow. The remains were laid to rest at Garry Owen cemetery, Rev. Father Coffey officiating at the grave. The pall-bearers were: Thos. Sullivan, Dan Melloy, Chris Slattery, Dan Crowley, Frank Mahony and Matt Droyer.
