Mourns Death of His Mother

Peter Nissen, living one mile west of Sabula, was bereaved Wednesday, Nov. 17th by the death of his mother, Mrs. Anna Nissen, who passed away at five o’clock that morning at the home of her son, J. J. Nissen in Lyons. Mrs. Nissen was born in Schleswig Holstein, Germany on Nov. 2, 1836, and was just two weeks past her 84th birthday. Her death was caused by the infirmities of old age. She was married to Peter Nissen, Sr., in Germany and they later moved to America and for many years resided in Clinton county. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. B. L. two sons: J. J. Nissen of Lyons and Peter Nissen of Sabula. There are also eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed at the time this paper went to press.
