Mrs. W. C. Cannon passed away at her home in Bernard at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning, Feb. 26, 1921, after an eight months illness.

Mary Feeney Cannon was born on the home farm near Zwingle, Iowa, fifty-nine years ago, was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Feeney and before her marriage was one of Jackson county’s efficient teachers. Twenty-two years ago last October, she was united in marriage with Wm. C. Cannon of Bernard and has made that town her home ever since. She is survived by her husband, four sons, Prof. Chas Cannon of the East Cascade high school; W. M., Paul and Dominick at home and one son preceded her in death, also survived by four sisters, Misses Elizabeth, Maggie and Annie Feeney and Mrs. Ellen O’Conner all of Dubuque and one brother, William of Lamar, Col., who with his wife happened to be here at the time of his sister’s death, having accompanied.
