Louisa Kurt Dies; Services Held, Bellevue

Bellevue, June 14 – Mrs. Louisa H. Kurt, 83 died June 7 in Bellevue Memorial hospital after an illness of two months.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic church. The Rev. Edgar Kurt of Cedar Rapids, a son, officiated at the requiem mass. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

As Louisa Heim, she was born May 10, 1873, near Bellevue, a daughter of Peter and Mary Yeager Heim. She married John B. Kurt Apr. 16, 1896.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roy Wagener of Bellevue; five sons, Ray of Bellevue, Oscar and Winfred of Detroit, Mich., Gregory of Des Plaines, Ill., and Father Kurt; one brother, Peter Heim of Dubuque; one sister, Mrs. Frank Weinert of Bellevue; and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
