B.W. Ehlers Dies; Services On Saturday

B.W. Ehlers, 83, died Thursday morning. The remains are at the Carson funeral home, where last rites will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Born Jan. 15, 1873, in Illinois, Mr. Ehlers was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ehlers. On Jan. 27, 1897, he married Amanda Hilger. Mr. and Mrs. Ehlers have resided in Maquoketa for a number of years. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Lyman W. (Ruth) Smith of Maquoketa; one son, Earl F. Ehlers of Baraboo, Wisc.; and one grandson and two great grandchildren. Two children, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
