Mary M. Scheckel Services Held Friday, LaMotte

LaMotte, May 31 – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary M. Scheckel, 70, were held at 9 a.m. Friday in Holy Rosary Catholic church here. She died Monday in a Dubuque hospital.

Born Feb. 7, 1886 at Miles, she was married Mar. 6, 1905, to N. M. Scheckel. She lived in LaMotte for 42 years.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Adelaide Scheckel of LaMotte; four sons, Raymond, Ralph and Herbert of LaMotte and Dr. Gerald of Oelwein, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Chris Sturm of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Clara Scheckel of Springbrook, Ia.; four brothers, Raymond Dresch of Richmond, Calif., R. F. Dresch of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., M. F. Dresch of Dell Rapids, So. Dak., and W. A. Dresch of Beardsley, Minn.; and four grandchildren.
