Walter R. Watson Funeral Services Saturday Morning

Funeral for Walter R. Watson, 64, who died Thursday in his home in Maquoketa, will be held from the Haylock O’Hara funeral home to Sacred Heart Catholic church at 9 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. E. W. Loosbrock, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Watson was born Nov. 5, 1891, in Maquoketa, a son of Frank and Jennie Roberts Watson. He resided in Detroit, Mich., most of his life, returning to Maquoketa four years ago. His wife, the former Jessie Bell, survives.

Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Donald of Lake City, Mich.; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Watson of Maquoketa; three brothers, Frank of Davenport, William of Pekin, Ill., and Leo of Des Moines; five sisters, Mrs. Rosalie Harkey of Iowa City, Mrs. John DeDecker of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Lyman Olson of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. John Coerner of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Don Evans of Davenport; and several grandchildren. His father, a daughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
