Louise Kukkuck Services Held Mar. 22, Preston

Preston, Mar. 22 – Mrs. Louise Kukkuck, 71, died Sunday in a Maquoketa nursing home following an extended illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Campbell funeral home to St. John’s Lutheran church. The pastor, the Rev. W. A. Bischoff, officiated and interment was made in the Preston cemetery.

Pallbearers were E. A. Kyarsgaard, Claude Kelly, Robert Driscoll, Herman Schroeder, Gerald Simmons and Kermit Entsminger.

Louise Bramer Kukkuck was born Nov. 2, 1884, at Oxford Junction, Ia., a daughter of the late August and Marie Bramer. On June 1, 1900, she was married to Louis Kukkuck, who preceded her in death in April of 1954.

One son, Walter Kukkuck of Preston, survives her. Two grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, one son in infancy, one sister and four brothers.

Mrs. Kukkuck was a charter member of the Rebekah lodge and was an honorary member of the ladies aid of the Lutheran church.
