DIED – Emmalin Charlotte Johnson was born at Wesley, Iowa, Feb. 19, 1886 and died in Maquoketa, Iowa Feb. 7, 1913 at the age of 24 years, 11 months and 17 days. She was united in marriage to L.D. Spitler at the old home March 30, 1904. Of this union two children were born, the older dying in infancy and Verna, age six, surviving. Mrs. Spitler with her husband, united with the Methodist church of Wesley, Iowa, ten years ago, and has been a very devoted and faithful member until God claimed her. She leaves to mourn, besides the husband and daughter, the father and mother, Lars and Ellen Johnson, one brother, Frances Johnson, of Wesley, Ia., two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Swensen of Danville, Iowa, and Anna Anderson of Ishpemming, Mich.
