March 2, 1956HERBERT HARP SERVICES FRIDAY; DIES IN HOSPITAL
Funeral services for Herbert E. Harp, 77, a Baldwin, Ia., resident, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. Keith Scott of Monmouth will officiate and burial will be made in the East Iron Hill cemetery. Mr. Harp died Tuesday in the Jackson County Public hospital.
An interior decorator, Mr. Harp was born Jan. 5. 1879, in Baldwin, a son of the late Jacob and Fannie Pickett Harp. On Apr. 24, 1912, he married Ella Burkey. She survives.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by two sons, Paul of Ogilbe, Minn., and Carroll of Mora, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Edson of Baldwin; three sisters, Mrs. Becky Slover and Mrs. Minnie Schlegel, both of Olympia, Wash., and Mrs. Vyrl Paul of Clinton, Ia.; and six grandchildren.
