Jackson Sentinel, January 3, 1907:
TUBBS-Angelina Harris was born in Queensbury, New York, Oct. 22, 1812, and died in Maquoketa, Iowa, Dec. 29, 1906, at the ripe age of 96 years, 2 months, 7 days.
She was united in marriage to Mr. George Tubbs in the town where she was born, on the 4th day of April, 1833. In 1846, she and her husband moved to Wisconsin and hence to Iowa in 1854, and settled in Clinton County about 5 miles south of Maquoketa.
Ten sons and four daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Tubbs, five only of whom survive her. They are as follows: Mrs. Wilkins of Janesville, Wisconsin, Hubert of Correctionville, Iowa, and Marvin, George and Willard of Maquoketa and vicinity.
She was a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopel Church until age with its infirmities debarred her from attending its services. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L.L.Lockard on Monday forenoon, Dec. 31st in the Union Church with interment in the adjacent cemetery, where her husband and several children are buried.
