Poole-Carroll R. Poole was born August 25, 1844. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Union Army and served four years and three months, coming to Iowa at the close of the war. In 1877 he married Cornelia Dutton. To this union were born seven children, six sons and one daughter.
He passed away Nov. 1st, 1903. His remains were laid away at Iron Hill Cemetery, Nov. 2nd, the funeral sermon by Elder John Heide of Fulton, Iowa, Text Rev. 20:12.
