Died.

TRACY—At his home in Brandon township, on Sunday, Oct. 6, 1889, Bazil Tracy, aged nearly 77 years.

His death too, was quite unexpected, but financial troubles had weighed heavily on his mind for some time. He was a native of Fayette Co., Pa., and came to Iowa with the pioneers in 1847 and settled in the township where he died. He was an ardent and faithful democrat, a man of many good qualities and a leader in his community. He held numerous offices of trust in Brandon and gave his time and attention to them regardless of the emoluments. He leaves a family and large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his death.
