Mrs. Rosalie Harkey, 79, of Iowa City, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Beckman-Butherus Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles E. Gannon officiating. Burial will be in the new section of St. Joseph's Cemetery. The roasary will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mrs. Harkey was born December 6, 1889 at Maquoketa, to Frank and Jennie Roberts Watson. She taught school at Delmar for several years. She was married to John Harkey in 1910 in Davenport and the couple moved to Iowa City in 1935.
She was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society and St. Patrick's Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harry Cray of Hills; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mary Brashear of Wilton, Wis. and Mrs. Katherine Wharton of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, William of Pekin, Ill. and Leo of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. John DeDecker of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Leslie Jones, of Dallas, Tex. and Mrs. Virginia Evans of Davenport; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Her husband, four brothers and one sister died earlier.
