FOR CLYDE NIMS RITES WEDNESDAY
Funeral service for Clyde Nims was held Wednesday at 2;30 P.M. at the family home, 902 East Platt street, with the Rev. Harry D. Green officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Lester Clyde Nims, son of Creon and Harriet Collipriest Nims, was born October 16, 1880, on the home farm east of Maquoketa, the eldest of a family of seven children. He died April 19 at his home in this city after several months illness.
He followed the trade of carpenter and contractor, spending the early part of his life in Lincoln, Neb. He was married to Mrs. Viola Rogers April 18, 1917, who with two step-sons, Kermit and Kenneth Rogers, survive. He also leaves one grandson, three sisters, Miss Jessie Nims, Mrs. Marion Stover and Mrs. Alice McKinsey, all of Maquoketa, and three brothers, Gilbert of Ekalaka, Mont., Vern of Luverne, Iowa and Alva of Maquoketa.
