FUNERAL SERVICE FRIDAY FOR MRS. DORA PARMER
Mrs. Dora Parmer, 75, died Wednesday morning at her home on North Fifth street after a brief illness. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Carson and Balster funeral home and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Delmar.
Agnes Dorothea Lund, daughter of John and Christina Lund, was born Sept. 19, 1872 in Denmark. In 1894 she came to America with her three year old daughter Carrie, and located at Delmar. In 1895 she was married to Charles parmer and they lived near Delmar until 1910 when they moved to a farm west of Maquoketa and later became residents of Maquoketa.
Since the death of her husband on April 27, 1933, she has made her home with the son, Loyal.
She is survived by two sons and three dauthers, Loyal, Mrs. Agnes Penrose, Mrs. Hugo Schmidt, Elmer and Mrs. Sarah Dostal, all of Maquoketa; also two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Wheeler of Dewitt and Mrs. Marie Elsner of Delmar, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Three brothes, Chris, Leo, and Peter Lund, and one sister, Mrs. Kate Jacobsen, preceded her in death.
