JOHN SHAW, 82, DIES IN MAQUOKETA AFTER LONG ILLNESS

John Shaw, 82, of Maquoketa died Sunday at his home following a long illness.

He was born in Monticello, Ill., Nov. 12, 1866 and married Mary Leonard in 1896. His wife and three children preceded him in death.

He is survived by the following children: John Leonard of Clinton, Mrs. J. D. Fox of Manchester, Mrs. Abbie Hansen of Brownwood, Tex., Mrs. George Sinkey of Los Angeles, Mrs. Ken Hollowell of Dewitt, Mrs. John McGinn of Wheatland, Edward of Los Angeles and Donald at home; a sister, Mrs. Stella Doran of Maquoketa, and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison's with the Rev. A. L. Eddy officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery.
