HOLD LAST RITES FOR C. LONGMAN
Charles A. "Shorty" Longman, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 6, in the Gilmore Nursing home here following a six weeks illness.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Carson funeral home with the Rev. Howard E. Beil officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Mr. Longman was born at Delmar April 5, 1878, a son of Elias and Mary Saxon Longman. He was married July 16, 1910, and was a retired butcher by trade.
He is survived by a son, Edward of Davenport; a step-daughter, Lillie Mangler of Andrew; a sister, Grace Williams of Los Angeles, and four grandchildren.
A son, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
